Unfortunately, events of the last 2 weeks have made it even more relevant. Three domestic murders, Dr. Tiller, Pvt. William A. Long in Arkansas and Stephen Tyrone Johns, the guard at the Holocaust Museum, along with the wounding of Pvt. Quinton Ezeagwula, remind us of Oklahoma City and the DC Sniper.
Overseas, there is renewed terrorism in Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan. The conflict over Iran's voting could easily cause more violence and more death.
How do terrorists operate? What motivates them to attack innocent people and to blow themselves up for their cause? What conditions allow them to operate? How can we choke off the local support they need?
